Roger Sacry, M.D.

       With experience as a physician since 1993, Dr. Sacry offers a comprehensive range of outpatient medical services. The practice focuses on managing both acute and chronic illnesses, placing a strong emphasis on preventive medicine and taking a proactive approach to healthcare. In addition to outpatient services, Dr. Sacry serves as the medical director for a local hospice, ensuring compassionate end-of-life care.

Sacry Family Medicine provides a variety of in-house services, including lab testing, vaccinations, ECGs, and minor procedures. Dr. Sacry and his team value the relationships they build with their patients, viewing them as friends, and express sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve them.

Michele Callahan, FNP

Michele completed her education in Boston before relocating to Missouri in search of a slower-paced lifestyle and a welcoming community. Her career includes working at a variety of healthcare settings before she met Dr. Sacry in 2010, which led her to join Sacry Family Medicine. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, gardening, playing pickleball, and practicing energy work.

Elaine Childs, LPC

Elaine  brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Licensed Professional Counselor, having served the 4-State area since 1995. Her diverse background includes working as a social worker with the Children's Division, fostering children, and being an adoptive parent. Growing up in a large family has instilled in her a deep sense of empathy, patience, and an appreciation for diverse perspectives, all of which inform her counseling approach.

Prior to joining Sacry Family Medicine in 2023, Elaine dedicated 14 years to Carthage Counseling, where she honed her skills in addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, and challenges faced by children, teens, and couples. Elaine specializes in trauma resolution and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), allowing her to provide effective support for clients navigating difficult experiences.

Outside of her professional life, Elaine enjoys the outdoors, engaging in activities such as horseback riding, water sports, hiking, and biking. She particularly cherishes her time with her grandchildren. 

April Byrd, CNA

April has been a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant since 1999 and completed her phlebotomy training in 2019. She brings valuable experience from her previous roles at Oxford Home Health, St. Luke's Nursing Home, and McCune Brooks Hospital. April joined Sacry Family Medicine in  2012, where she continues to excel in providing compassionate care to patients.

Outside of her professional endeavors, April enjoys spending quality time with her family, cuddling her dogs, and caring for her chickens. Her commitment to health and well-being extends beyond her work, establishing her as a trusted and caring member of the healthcare community.

B Maggard, Co-Office Manager & Allergy Specialist

With a background as a Medical Assistant, B has been working in the medical field since 2007. She officially joined Sacry Family Medicine in 2018, after being involved with the practice since 2015. B has a particular passion for allergy care and specializes in helping patients with allergy management. 

Outside of work, she enjoys camping and is actively involved in children's ministry.

Quinn Norwood, Family Nurse Practitioner

Kathy Laytham, FNP

Kathy has over two decades of rich nursing experience spanning Kansas City, the Marshall Islands and Taiwan, where she has worked in a variety of roles, including a family clinic, international school, orphanage and a university.

In 2020, she returned to her hometown of Carthage and joined the Sacry Family Medicine team. Kathy is passionate about holistic care, reproductive justice, and encouraging active patient participation in healthcare. She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and is committed to empowering families through their breastfeeding journeys.

Beyond the clinic, Kathy loves the outdoors, reading and staying active. She cherishes time with her husband and four children.

Colleen Lemasters, LPN

Colleen  began her healthcare career as a nurse aide before advancing to become a Certified Medication Technician. After earning her LPN license in 1984, she has accumulated extensive experience across various healthcare settings. Her background includes roles in nursing homes, hospitals, home health care, and management of a Residential Care Facility. Colleen has been a dedicated member of the Sacry Family Medicine team since 2005, consistently providing compassionate care to every patient she serves.

Colleen’s personal interests include crocheting, cooking, and singing. She is deeply passionate about her church, family, friends, animals, and music.

Susan Richmond, Co-Office Manager

Susan serves as the Co-Office Manager at Sacry Family Medicine. With a strong commitment to patient care, she excels in building relationships with patients, ensuring they feel valued and special during their visits.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Susan cherishes time spent with her family, which includes her husband and four daughters. She is also passionate about gardening, particularly enjoying the cultivation of flowers.

Jennie Dalton, Front Desk Receptionist

Jennie has worked as a front desk receptionist since 2010 and joined Sacry Family Medicine in 2022. She  excels in interacting with patients and creating a welcoming environment at the practice.

In her personal life, Jennie and her husband enjoy spending time at Grand Lake. They have five children and devote much of their free time to their youngest, Desi Grace.

Kim Chuta, Medical Assistant

Quinn has a diverse background, having spent the majority of her career in the operating room and in gastrointestinal (GI) procedures, where she discovered an unexpected passion for gastroenterology. Additionally, she has experience in labor and delivery, as well as pre- and post-operative care. Quinn joined  Sacry Family Medicine in 2024, where she enjoys providing exceptional patient care, with a particular interest in the aesthetic aspects of the practice.

Outside of her professional life, Quinn is a devoted mother to her two young sons, who are the center of her world. She is passionate about her faith and has a rich background in dance, having performed professionally before pursuing a nursing career. In her leisure time, Quinn enjoys spending time with her family, going to the lake, fishing, and cooking.

Kimberly joined the team in 2023. She is passionate about serving her hometown and ensures that patients have the opportunity to express themselves in Spanish when needed. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys long runs and participating in kickboxing and Zumba classes, as well as spending quality time with her family.

Katie Bloomer, Medical Assistant

Amanda Baker, Certified Medical Assistant

Katie  is a dedicated Medical Assistant at Sacry Family Medicine, joining the team in  2023. She obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification while in high school and later received her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification during college. Katie has a keen interest and excels in lab draws. She also derives great pleasure in working with pediatric patients.

Residing in her hometown of Carthage with her husband Gage and their daughter Merklee, Katie values spending time with family, outdoor activities, and reading.

Amanda is a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with over 10 years of experience in both hospital and primary care settings. She joined Sacry Family Medicine in 2023 and is deeply passionate about providing care to patients, which she considers her calling.

In her personal time, Amanda enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their three children and her amazing friends.
